Two researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who were annoyed by the prospect of a massive new federal surveillance system, Total Information Awareness program (TIA), celebrated the Fourth of July with a new Internet service that will let citizens create dossiers on government officials. The new site is called Government Information Awareness. This is an excellent bit of eGovernment, although not what many elected individuals have in mind when they use the term. I haven't taken the time to play with it much, but it looks like it will be a popular site.
